CityStore is a small, growing self storage business primarily focussed on locations in London and the South East. CityStore aims to grow the portfolio over the long term, providing great opportunities for staff to develop their career within a growing industry

CityStore Self Storage began in 2008 and its first store in Camden started receiving customers in July 2009. Due to the success of the Camden store, the CityStore Group purchased a further building in Houghton Regis, Dunstable, which commenced trading in April 2013. In May 2018 the third storage centre in the portfolio was opened in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
Our self-storage centres are bright and airy with open-plan reception areas where customers can organise the rental of self storage space as well as buy boxes and packaging materials.
The current managment team have significant experience in running self storage centres and have also developed the business to incorporate a archive/records management division.

1. Apply online
View the list of current vacancies on our website to find the role that best suits your abilities. Send your C.V to firstname.lastname@example.org detailing your reasons for applying and giving a brief synopsis of the skills that you would bring to the role.
2. Telephone interview
We will review your application against the skills required for the role you have applied for. If you’re successful, someone from our HR team will get in touch to arrange a telephone interview. During the telephone interview we’ll talk to you about your previous experience and we’ll tell you more about the role.
3. Face-to-face interview
Being a small business, you will be interviewed by the Centre Manager of the storage centre as well as one of the Directors in the first instance. If successful, you will be invited back for a second interview with second Director.
A Director will be back in touch to let you know if you’ve been successful. All of our job offers are made by phone and then confirmed in writing. If you are not successful, we will inform you and provide feedback as appropriate.
Training & Developmentback to top
At CityStore, we aim to provide a complete training package for all our employees. We believe in investing the time to develop each and every one of our employees with the hope that they will progress to higher levels within the business when opportunities arise.
All our team members receive a comprehensive and structured induction. The initial induction lasts three months and gives new starters all the skills to be able to operate the basics of a storage centre on their own. After completion, there is a further 3 month development programme providing greater knowledge of the business processes. We provide our new starters with regular feedback to ensure that they are developing as expected.
Ongoing training and development
We deliver dedicated sales training to help us master the skills and behaviours which enable us to perform well at CityStore. In addition, our team members receive management development and health and safety training in accordance with the requirements of their roles.
Beyond this, there are plenty of opportunities at CityStore to grow within your role and progress beyond it. Through regular coaching and performance reviews with our Line Managers, we are keen to support and challenge the Assistant Managers of today to become our Centre Managers of tomorrow as the business grows.
